How
does it work? |

STARGLOW
DYETECTIVE Gel is an innocent looking dark gel that contains an
Dual-Staining Agent, which reacts with the moisture in skin
to produce both a visible RED / PINK stain and an invisible PINK stain on skin.
The
red visible stain is stubborn and difficulty to
remove, but may be removed through intensive hand
washing, however the Invisible UV stain will remain
for up to 2 days.
This product is not suitable for
direct use on Bank Notes, as they will
turn Pink / Red. We suggest you use STARGLOW UV Contact
Powder for this purpose.
Please Note: Concentrated DYETECTIVE Gel will not dry out and is therefore suitable for
use over several days. A UV BLACKLIGHT
will be required to reveal the 'invisible' stain. The extent of the staining will depend on the amount
of handling by the thief and their hand washing habits

Apply a
thin, discreet layer of DYETECTIVE
Gel to the
appropriate surfaces, draw, door handles, items of stock, boxes etc.

When
a thief comes
into contact with the Gel, a staining agent will be
passed on the skin. |

Once the hands
become wet / moist the gel will create a stubborn visible red
stain, as well as an invisible UV stain. |

So how do you go
about identifying your thief discreetly and without
confrontation? Here's one suggestion ....
If you haven't
done so already, invest in a UV Money Checker unit, the sort
that you have to push the bank notes under to be illuminated by
the UV light inside, to see if they are counterfeit.
Having suffered
another theft, perhaps this would be a good time to train /
re-train staff on the use of the UV Money Checker. As each
member of staff uses the Money Checker, they will bring their
hands close to the UV Light, a simply subterfuge, which hopefully
should reveal who the thief is, without the need
for open accusations or a witch hunt.
If you do not have
a Money Checker, the UV light supplied with a DYETECTIVE Kit
should
do the job, but try use it in a darker area, so the secondary UV
illumination of the hands will be easier to see.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
|
DYETECTIVE GEL is an amazing product, but even
one teeny-weeny speck can produce a stain. For this reason please take great care where
you actually use the gel and ensure you are able to
clean / remove all traces, once it has served its
purpose. Some 'porous' surfaces
such as bank notes, paper, cardboard, textiles and some
plastics, may be permanently stained. Non-porous materials such as metal, steel,
painted wood etc may be cleaned to remove the stain.
When in doubt, use our non-destructive, invisible
'UV Contact' Powder or UV Contact Grease as a
non-staining safe alternative. |
